Distinguishing Career Features:

Required Qualifications:
Education - Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and two years of professional experience; OR any bachelor’s degree and a certificate in Pharmacy Technology from an ASHP accredited program and two years of professional experience; OR an associate degree in Pharmacy Technology from an ASHP accredited program, and Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT), and four years of professional experience; OR an associate degree in Pharmacy Technology from an ASHP accredited program and six years of professional experience.

Licensure - A current California Pharmacist license in good standing (Registered Pharmacist in California); OR a current California Pharmacy Technician in good standing (Licensed Pharmacy Technician in California).

Understanding of and sensitivity to meeting the needs of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of the student, community, and employee population.

Salary/Fringe Benefits:
Effective 07/01/2017, salary is $60.43 per hour.

Conditions of Employment:
Assignments are contingent upon sufficient funding and enrollment. Assignments may include day, evening, and/or weekend classes. Individual who is offered employment shall be required to obtain fingerprints for a criminal history clearance through the State Department of Justice and remit the required fee for processing the fingerprints, Federal Bureau of Investigation (no fee if obtained at Cerritos College Campus Police Station), produce an original social security card, and submit negative TB test results (must be within the past four years or within the last 60 days if not previously employed in a school district in California) before employment. Proof of eligibility to work in the United States and signing of loyalty oath per Government Codes 3100-3109.
