The Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Amherst (http://www.umass.edu/pbs/) at the University of Massachusetts Amherst is seeking applicants for a Temporary Part-Time Lecturer Pool for our on-campus undergraduate programs. Successful candidates should have experience teaching undergraduate courses in one of the following areas:  clinical psychology, cognitive psychology, developmental psychology, social psychology, and neuroscience. Candidates with expertise in teaching writing within a psychology curriculum or integrating diversity related content into psychology courses are especially encouraged to apply.


Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Psychology or Neuroscience, evidence of teaching excellence, excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to work with diverse populations and experience mentoring/advising undergraduates.  Visit our website at http://www.umass.edu/pbs/ for more information about the department.

Applications should include a cover letter, curriculum vitae, teaching philosophy, evidence of teaching excellence, and the names and contact information of at least three references. 

The application review process will begin on immediately and continue until a suitable pool of lecturers is selected.  This lecturer pool will be used to fill vacancies that may occur beginning in September of 2018 and through spring 2021.  Applicants should be aware than an offer of appointment is not guaranteed and that appointments may not be offered in the order that candidates enter the pool.  In order to ensure consideration, please submit materials online
