Senior Coordinator for Club Sports

Job description

Develops, implements and oversees programs and services in assigned office, college, division or department; be responsible for the oversight of operations and maintenance of said office, college, division, or dept

Promotes sports and recreation services and offerings in accordance with the university, division, and department mission and core values. Supports KSU students in achieving a well-rounded academic, athletic, and professional experience and personal growth through participation int he club sports program. Establishes club Sports programming, in-house events, and creates development opportunities for existing student-athletes and teams to enhance the quality of the program. Provides thorough guidance, training, and ongoing support for new clubs as they enter the program. Creates process improvements for efficient communication, productivity, risk management, and marketing to create a an exceptional experience for student athletes and community volunteers. a vital component of this position a strong commitment to team work, customer service, ethical leadership, and student development.

Minimum Hiring Salary: $47,476

Required Qualification

Bachelor degree and 3+ years experience (may require some specialized skill sets/training)

Preferred Qualifications:

Masters degree in Sports Management, Recreation Management or similar degree from an appropriately accredited institution and 4-5 years of experience in a campus recreation club sports program or a closely related field

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong interpersonal skills

Experience supervising full time staff; proven ability to mentor full time staff and effectively handle personnel issues when necessary; experience in professional staff development

American Red Cross CPR, First Aid, AED Instructor certification

Active NIRSA Member

Proven experience growing innovative programs

Ability to analyze data and make sound recommendations based on the data/feedback
