The University of Connecticut's Office of University Communications seeks a Senior Digital Specialist to work in a collaborative small-team environment applying expertise and knowledge of web and digital marketing to plan and produce high-profile websites and digital marketing campaigns.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

This person will serve as an expert on web and digital strategy, web information architecture, SEO, and analytics for the University and UConn Health.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, marketing, information technology or closely related field; at least five years of experience in web and digital marketing production, two years of which include management or supervision of staff and projects; evidence of masterful writing, project managing, and web production; ability to meet deadlines, take initiative and willingness to work flexible hours when activities fall outside normal working hours; tact and superior interpersonal/communications skills and techniques; knowledge of web and digital marketing operations and the needs of constituents; ability to be a self-starter and work without guidance; ability to make instant judgments based on sound public relations and marketing communications practice and experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Master's degree in journalism, communications, marketing, information technology or closely related field; experience in web and digital marketing in higher education; experience in web and digital marketing for a healthcare system; experience in client and/or consumer-based web and digital marketing

APPOINTMENT TERMS

This is a full-time (35 hrs/week) position at the Storrs Campus.
