Part-Time Instructor - Surgical Technology
Aims Community College, locally governed, locally funded, is a progressive community college with centralized administrative services located on the Greeley Campus which supports three additional locations. Interact with students in the classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings to provide optimum learning opportunities. Engage students in interactive learning while maintaining control of the class. Provide effective and high quality instruction; competent student advising as needed; assist with evaluating and revising/modifying the curriculum; teach at various clinical agencies as assigned for surgical technology and sterile instrument processing students.
Administer and grade written tests and assignments. Demonstrate required surgical technology skills in the laboratory and clinical agency settings; critique and eventually evaluate student performance in the laboratory and clinical agency settings.
Communicate with and listen to students in order to create a positive learning environment. Use both verbal and nonverbal communication to assist with student development.
Lab maintenance and other duties as assigned.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a part/full-time basis.
1. Associates degree in surgical technology
2. 3 Years of experience as a surgical technologist
3. Current NBSTSA certification in surgical technology
5 to 10 hours weekly. Weekdays and occasional weekend shifts
