**Must be a current student at TAMUCT to apply and must be eligible for Federal Work Study Program and be able to provide approved Federal Work Study documentation. **

Department: College of Arts & Sciences (Lab Assistant)

Job Summary:

- Preparation and dispersal of laboratory materials prior to class meeting

- Removal of laboratory materials upon completion of class

-Maintain orderliness of preparation areas, glass room and chemical stockroom

- Maintain inventory

-Maintain S.D.S. files

-Wash and shelve glassware and miscellaneous laboratory supplies

-Care for live plants/animals and maintain prepared specimens

-Perform general office work that may include typing, filing, picking up mail, running errands

-Assist in monitoring some laboratory exercises

-Other duties as assigned

Education/Skills Required:

-Must be an enrolled student at TAMUCT
-Excellent skills in all communication forms
-Team player
-Customer service skills
-Detail oriented and document processing with accuracy and thoroughness

-Ability to maintain confidentiality

-Computer knowledge

Salary: $8.00 per hour

Hours: Up to 19.5 hours per week. Hours will be between 8AM and 5PM, Mon-Fri. Hours and days of the week may vary
