We are currently seeking a Senior Database Administrator who will advance the institution's proud tradition of excellence in academics, student life and community service.
We're looking for a savvy individual (who knows Oracle 9i and/or 10g for Solaris and Windows NT) to keep our database environments safe, healthy and functioning at peak performance.
In this role, you'll provide technical and functional support for all third party system software and databases that the IT Applications Development department has responsibility for. You'll also assist in the managing of the design, configuration, implementation and maintenance of Oracle databases, Oracle applications and other areas of database administration, including PeopleSoft.

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science or related area required, OR significant work related experience in all job requirements for this position may be considered in lieu of degree requirement.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience as database administrator in a production environment is required, and five (5) years other related experience.
Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity plans and implementation experience using a remote environment required.
Experience working in a team environment required.
SQL experience required.
PeopleSoft/Oracle DBA experience preferred.
PeopleSoft 8.x and/ or 9.x and upgrade experience preferred.
Experience with Oracle Collaboration Suite, with Oracle Dataguard and standby databases preferred. Oracle Upgrade experience preferred.
Project management experience preferred.
Crystal reporting experience preferred.
Solaris experience is preferred.
TOAD and Legato Backup System experience preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of Oracle 9i and or 10g in a Solaris and Windows NT environment preferred
