    EDUCATION
    High School diploma or GED is required.

    Two (2) years of formal education or training in HVAC, mechanical, control systems or formal craft/trade is preferred.
    EXPERIENCE
    A minimum of three (3) years of building maintenance experience required, including at least one (1) year of work experience in lock repair, and one (1) year in building maintenance.
    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
    Knowledge and skills in operating key cutting machinery and replacing all types of locking systems

    Ability to convert the hardware to a standard locking system, and re-pin removable lock cores

    Knowledge of commonly used locks and door hardware

    Demonstrated proficiency using current office software

    Supervisory skills and experience with good communication skills

    Ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs. and to climb a ladder

    Ability to travel to various campuses or offsite locations on an as-needed basis

    Ability to function independently on work assignment

    Ability to interpret plans, shop drawings and specifications

    Ability to communicate and interact with all levels of the institution as well as with outside vendors, contractors, consultants and the general public
