Position Summary: Incumbent is responsible for aiding the department with overflow and will assist with providing a range of administrative and analytical functions critical to the implementation of the quality assurance and performance improvement programs through effective identification of sources and collection of data, including medical chart review and query of various databases/information systems. May serve as a resource for quality through the implementation of processes and standards across the continuum to ensure compliance and improvement in quality of care and patient safety.
Required Qualifications: Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the HealthSystemAbility to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workloadAbility to maintain strict confidentiality in operational transactions and communicationsAbility to prioritize and contribute to simultaneous projects and facilitate teamwork among project staff / participantsBachelor's degree in Nursing, Public Health, Pharmacy, Business, Administration or related fieldCurrent California RN licenseExcellent interpersonal communication skills to communicate effectively with physicians, managers and high-level administrative staff as well as support staff who are critical to departmental functionsExcellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishKnowledge of quality improvement methodologiesMinimum 2 years clinical RN experienceMust demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the jobMust demonstrate meticulous attention to accuracy with data collection and reportingMust possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned dutiesPrevious experience creating, maintaining, and extracting information from a variety of databasesPrevious experience or exposure to quality, patient safety, infection control, or performance improvement methodologies (includes educational experience if applicable)Resourcefulness to identify and search for information that is not readily availableStrong analytical skills to effectively comprehend complex system reports and analyze an array into an actionable formStrong knowledge of MS Office Suite applications with emphasis on Excel and ViseoWorking knowledge of statistics
