Position Summary: Incumbent is responsible for aiding the department with overflow and will assist with program development and coordination of patient care delivery programs. Incumbent will insure compliance with JCAHO, CMS, CalOSHA and Title 22 standards. Incumbent will assist in the surveillance, assessment, control and prevention of infections in patients, employees and visitors. The emphasis of this position is on assisting with education and consultation regarding infection control practices, collection and presentation of information regarding epidemiological investigations, antibiotic utilization, and emergence of multiple resistant pathogens. This position will assist with providing infection prevention consultation to inpatient and ambulatory locations.
Required Qualifications: Basic knowledge of Microsoft office applicationsCurrent RN license or bachelor's degree in a healthcare related fieldDemonstrated strong writing, public speaking and interpersonal communication skillsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailsTwo years experience in a healthcare or public health settingWork schedule flexibility
Preferred Qualifications: Certification in Infection ControlKnowledge of UC policies and proceduresMaster's Degree
