Position Summary Information

Primary Purpose
Under minimal supervision of the Associate Provost, the Coordinator is responsible for ensuring high quality completion of projects by proactively facilitating effective implementation, communication, and outcomes for cross-functional, university-wide teams. The Coordinator will also provide strategic perspective, research, and develop written materials for review and decision making by university leadership (Cabinet, Cabinet Strategic Oversight Committee, Board of Regents, and Deans).

Essential Functions
1. Supports Associate Provost in the planning, monitoring, assessment, and refinement of university-wide strategic and annual planning efforts.
2. Conducts periodic analysis of university-wide initiatives and projects; maintain daily monitoring protocols of related activities and outcomes. Identifies potential barriers to implementation, strategies to mitigate challenges, and escalates, as appropriate.
3. Benchmarks active and potential initiatives against peer and aspirant institutions.
4. Develops written materials for review and decision making by university leadership.
5. Develops standing, specialty, and research reports for the various stages of university-wide initiative and project implementation.
6. In collaboration with University Marketing & Communications, executes university-wide communications strategy including newsletter articles, initiative campaigns, and print publications.
7. Manages SharePoint and websites design, structure, content, and user access for university community facing audiences as well as internal planning initiative teams. Develops engagement content and tools fostering intra-initiative collaboration.
8. Serves as a lead for special initiatives and/or projects.
9. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience in higher education administrative or program coordination.
  • Experience in strategic planning and/or implementation.
    Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with a CMS and familiarity with SharePoint preferred.
    Skills/Knowledge and Expertise:
  • Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions and exercise sound professional judgments in the performance of areas of responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated capacity to learn and understand the unique culture of an organization.
  • Strong ability to cultivate strong relationships with faculty, faculty leaders and staff and the capacity to work as a member of a team.
  • Outstanding writing and editing skills.
  • Ability and willingness to work non-traditional office hours, evenings and weekends, as needed.
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Office Product Software and a basic knowledge of CMS; experience using SharePoint a plus.
  • Must have a positive attitude, proven ability to work successfully with diverse populations and demonstrated commitment to promote and enhance diversity and inclusion.
  • Excellent oral/written presentation skills.

    Work Environment/Work Week/Travel:
    Work performed during standard business hours.

    Hiring Range
    Min $21.24 per hour to Mid $29.13 per hour, non-exempt
