Assistant Professor, Business Management (Economics)
The Curry College Business Management Department invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor of Management to begin in the fall of 2018. Successful candidates will demonstrate subject matter expertise in the field of Economics, evidence of teaching excellence, skill in engaging students through active and collaborative learning, competent use of instructional technology, exceptional oral and written communication skills, and a strong record or demonstrated scholarship potential. Courses of interest would be in the areas of Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, and Managerial Economics, and Quantitative Analysis.
The individual in this role will be teaching in the traditional day program as well as in hybrid classes for the adult undergraduate and MBA programs for day and evening courses, at both the Milton and Plymouth campuses. Additional responsibilities include student advising, and engaging in service activities within the department, the College, the community, and the profession. The review of applications will begin immediately and continue until filled.
- An earned Ph.D. or DBA in Economics is required. ABD will be considered with a completion date before August 2018.
- Prior experience teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.
- Candidates must demonstrate strong research skills with the potential to publish in leading academic journals.
