JOB SUMMARY:

Troubleshoots, repairs and maintains electrical and water distribution equipment located primarily in dining halls. Troubleshoots, repairs and maintains plumbing equipment and systems. Installs electrical wiring, conduit, wire molding and other related electrical systems. Adjusts schedule to meet work needs. Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB DUTIES:

50% - Essential - MAINTENANCE:
Troubleshoots and makes plumbing repairs. Maintains and repairs sinks, toilets, showers, tubs, hot and cold supply lines, and sever lines. Troubleshoots, repairs and replaces dining equipment such as garbage disposals, dish machines, cooking apparatuses, ice machines, refrigeration, and other related equipment. Troubleshoots and repairs electrical systems. Installs new electrical wiring, conduit and wire molding. Installs and maintains lighting and circuits, appliances and mechanical equipment.

20% - Essential - MECHANICAL SYSTEM MAINTENANCE:
Maintains and repairs mechanical systems primarily located in dining halls: electrical equipment, air compressors, portable water distribution equipment, domestic hot water equipment and high-and low-pressure steam systems.

15% - Essential - ELECTRICAL AND APPLIANCE MAINTENANCE:
Installs and troubleshoots electrical wiring and lighting and lays out EMT conduit by National Electrical Codes.
Installs and repairs all appliances/equipment in housing locations, including refrigeration.

10% - Essential - COMMUNICATION:
Assists and advises department and personnel in scheduling maintenance, repairs or replacement of equipment in dining halls. Maintains communication with Housing Maintenance Supervisors, liaison for Dining Services, work order staff and associate director to coordinate repair work.

5% - Essential - COMPLIANCE AND INSPECTION:
Inspects all dining facilities routinely to address potential hazards and equipment needs.

A high school diploma and trade experience that is directly related to the area of employme

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Work Exp 1+ years trade experience directly related to the area of employment.

Licenses & Certification: Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
