Working Title Elevator Mechanic
Eastern Washington University is currently seeking an Elevator Mechanic to join our team. This position performs journey level elevator maintenance as directed. Assist with over site of the designated Elevator maintenance vendor as required. Perform maintenance, repair and related testing of Fire Alarm systems as they pertain to elevators. Perform maintenance and repair on elevators and wheelchair lifts

Conditions of Employment
Successful candidate must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis. Successful candidate must be able to pass a pre-placement physical.

- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver's license
- Completion of a recognized apprenticeship as an Elevator Mechanic; or full journey status as an Elevator Mechanic in a union; or applicable work experience
- Current Washington State Category 1 Elevator Mechanic License
- Candidate must demonstrate interest, ability and/or experience promoting cultural competency, universal accessibility and/or diversity
- 06 Electrical License
- Experience in institutional electrical maintenance
- Completion of recognized apprenticeship or trade school program as an electrician.
