Posting Summary:
University of Virginia Advancement Communications seeks outstanding candidates for a Senior Administrative Generalist supporting the Assistant Vice President for Advancement Communications. Responsibilities include a variety of professional and support duties that facilitate the day-to-day operations of the AVP's office including complex scheduling and relationship management, representing the office inside the University and to external constituencies, purchasing, and budgeting and financial tracking.

Advancement Communications supports a broad array of fundraising initiatives through the development of print and electronic publications as well as social media communications. This creative and hard-working team offers a collaborative environment committed to showcasing the excellence of the University of Virginia.

A high school diploma is required. A bachelor's degree is preferred. At least six year of experience in administrative operations for a senior executive which include scheduling, supporting successful relationship management, budget tracking, purchasing and paying bills, and coordination of special projects. A degree may substitute for some experience. A command of confidentiality, professionalism, and tact are essential. The ability to grasp and navigate protocol among diverse constituencies across varying levels of the organization is also essential. Must demonstrate thoughtful and appropriate oral and written communication in daily interactions and have the ability to prioritize competing responsibilities and navigate details while understanding end goals and purpose. An ability to anticipate team and leadership needs and to work to prevent potential administrative problems are
