Department Overview
The Knowledge Management Team assists the University of North Texas Health Science Center with the collection, analysis and data visualization of our academic, research, and clinical efforts so that they can make informed and data-driven decisions. Knowledge Management is part of Information Technology Services, but also collaborates with numerous faculty and staff across the institution.

Position Details
The Knowledge Management Department at the University of North Texas Health Science Center is seeking to hire a Business Intelligence Developer to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:

* Manage and maintain a enterprise business intelligence platform (Microsoft Power BI).
* Identify business data needs and integrate into the enterprise platform/model.
* Establish a data governance model for each data entity, including owner, security, quality, and uses.
* Build and maintain data dictionary.
* Seek out opportunities to use data visualization and drive tool adoption.
* Assist with data collection for institutional research and annual reports.
* Build working relationships with all business units to identify valuable data and assist with key decisions.

Department Specific Responsibilities:

* Work with ITS teams to drive the Power BI platform and work closely with UNTHSC customers to design and deliver usable, value-added information to help drive daily and strategic decisions.

Required Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess the required qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and four (4) years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:

* Three years experience developing on Garter Upper-Quadrant BI tool (Qlikview, Tableau, Birst, PowerBI, etc.)
* Strong SQL development skills in MSSQL BI platform (SSRS/SSIS/SSAS).
* Data Warehouse/Architecture background.
* Exceptional communication and attention to detail.
* Background in using Lean principles, Agile processes tools.
