Position Description

Advertised Job Summary

Serves as Payroll Manager of a multi-campus university responsible for complex, expert level professional duties in accounting, payroll tax, and Form W2 reporting. Responsible for cumulative year to date reports and year end wage reporting for a gross annual payroll of approximately $585 million. Provides expertise to University management and employees.

Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)

Bachelor's degree in accounting, or business administration and 4 years professional accounting experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Advance degree and CPA highly preferred. Experience in Payroll accounting highly desirable, as well as knowledge of PeopleSoft HCM 9.2, accounting theory, and internal controls.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Employee must have excellent supervisory/leadership skills and excellent communication skills. Requires strong critical thinking skills with a demonstrated record of problem solving.
