Direct supervision of 4 Facility Supervisors. Prepare reports regarding cleaning cost including materials and labor utilization for the various residence halls. Directly supervise and train all supervisory personnel in the proper use of equipment methods, procedures and cleaning materials.
Responsible for insuring that all custodial personnel are properly trained in the use of cleaning chemicals, equipment, methods and procedures. Conduct monthly maintenance inspection of University Housing's facilities and takes immediate action through subordinate supervisors to correct any discrepancies noted.
Coordinate date and time scheduling of repairs with Facilities and Housing Maintenance Supervisors. Actively participate in all programs designed to conserve energy and train custodial staff in energy conservation procedures.
High School diploma or equivalency and four years of experience of custodial work and supervisory experience. (Note: a combination of post high school education and experience equal to four years.)
Experience in various cleaning methods, and the use of tools, equipment, and chemicals.
Experience and the ability to identify safety hazards and necessary safety precautions to establish a safe work environment.
Experience or knowledge in monitoring budget information.
Experience or knowledge to identify safety hazards and necessary safety precautions to establish a safe work environment.
Ability to effectively train and direct the work of others.
Ability to work weekends on occasion to accommodate the University's needs.
A valid State of Florida or Georgia License or the ability to obtain.
This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.
Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
