Job Duties: Responsibilities will be to participate in vascular clinics, see inpatient and outpatient consults, and conduct clinical and/or basic science research. Teach fellows, residents and medical students. There is an opportunity to serve as Director or Co-Director of Noninvasive Vascular Lab and oversee the risk factor management clinic for vascular and cardiology, especially, in regard to complex lipid management, hypertension, cigarette smoking; hematologic aspects of vascular disease, unusual vascular disease management (e.g. vasculitis, fibromuscular dysplasia, Loehy's-Dietz, Marfans, Venous Thrombolysis, Cancer Related Hypercoagulability, etc.) Opportunity exists for specialty vein care clinic. Participate in development of a coordinated regional model of care for patients with vascular disease throughout Eastern North Carolina. This includes involvement in care of patients at cardiopulmonary rehab centers providing SET. Responsible for establishing a Vascular Medicine fellowship for the department.
