General Summary of Position:

The Transportation Dispatcher (Administrative Assistant I) will handle the daily operational functions of the transportation dispatch office, including answering the phone and communicating with staff in the field, monitoring shift assignment, monitoring GPS locations of vehicles for service efficiencies, administrative tasks and some oversight tasks relating to drivers and parking team. Works with PeopleSoft , Ticket-track and Timeforge.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

  • High School Diploma or GED/equivalent required
  • 1-3 year's experience working in a service environment
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Valid Driver's License with clean driving history
  • Ability to obtains CDL-B driver's license
  • Skills: Demonstrate Customer Service Skills
  • Experience with ticket-track and timeforge software
  • The ability to work effectively with diverse groups

Additional Considerations:
  • 3 year's experience transportation services in a college/university setting preferred
  • Experience with using PeopleSoft, ticket-track, Timeforge
  • Positive, pleasant, customer-friendly demeanor and communication skills
  • Demonstrates a commitment to department core values of safety, integrity, process improvement and customer satisfaction.
  • Proficient typing skills and competency in the Microsoft Office software suite
  • Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to work collaboratively in a team as well as independently with limited supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail
