Network Operations ManagerPosition Summary
The Network Operation Manager provides leadership for building and operating all aspects of the network, analyzes needs and trends, and makes recommendations for optimizations, improving capacity, processes and support tools. This role requires people management, including project/operational support oversight, and personnel development. Participates in activities focused on improving overall network operations. Mentor and support network operations employees as well as assist in training, cross-training, monitoring, and reinforcement of procedures and guidelines. Provide team with proactive updates on potential customer impacting issues (i.e., network issues, site performance, service disruptions, planned maintenance, equipment failures, etc.). Ability to work cross-functionally with other teams to improve the effectiveness of the network operations.Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or related information technology field, with coursework in an information technology specialization related to the area of employment; and five to eight years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in Network Planning, Network Engineering, or Network Operations including experience overseeing large, complex or critical information technology projects; previous management experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Desired Qualifications
Ability to coach and motivate all levels of employees.
Customer service oriented with a focus on network delivery.
At least 3 years of successful project management experience preferred.
Working knowledge of logical and physical networks.
