Info Systems Business Analyst - Assistant SRIS Administrator
Job Summary: The Information Systems Business Analyst acts as a liaison between functional and technical staff in support of specialized college or department information systems. Serves as a contact for reporting and data retrieval requests.
Additional Department Summary: This position works closely with a team of functional and technical staff to meet business automation needs. The incumbent works as a functional liaison between the department and IT programmers, considering the business implications of programming changes to the business environment. This position works with the functional department users to gather and organize data for reports, graphs, and other needs. Responsibilities will include creating complex tuition and college/course fee assessment rules; creating and running queries to audit student financial data for accuracy; designing functional flow and overseeing procedures to automate daily processes, communication, and tracking.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two year's of experience; OR Master's degree and some experience.
Skills and Knowledge: Advanced MS Excel skills, proficient in MS Office. Working knowledge of relational database systems.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related Business degree such as Management Information Systems. Experience with Ellucian Banner and Argos is preferred.
