Brief Summary of Work for this Position:
The University of North Carolina Wilmington Center for Marine Science and Department of Physics and Physical Oceanography seek a postdoctoral researcher to support a large NSF funded project on coastal sustainability. We invite applications from candidates with expertise in numerical modeling, applied mathematics, physical science, or geoscience.

Minimum Requirements:
PhD in Geoscience, Physical Science, or Applied Mathematics

Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with Python, tools developed in the study of complex systems, and an understanding of coastal dynamics

Primary Function of Organizational Unit:
The Center for Marine Science at UNC Wilmington is dedicated to providing an environment that fosters a multidisciplinary approach to questions in basic marine research.
The mission of the center is to promote basic and applied research in the fields of oceanography, coastal and wetland studies, marine biomedical and environmental physiology, and marine biotechnology and aquaculture.
