Reference and Digital Resources Librarian

Job Description Summary:
The reference and digital resources librarian provides reference and bibliographic services to library patrons, participates in the library instruction programs, maintains library web pages and social media accounts; designs online and print graphics for outreach; and assists in providing access to digital subscriptions.

Specific Duties:

Provide reference service to patrons
Teach in the 1L and advanced legal research classes
Teach in the legal research certificate program
Maintain library web pages and social media accounts
Design and create online and print graphics for outreach
Participate in collection development
Coordinate access to digital collections with Wilson Libary
Participate in professional activities at local, regional, and national levels

Minimum Qualifications:

J.D. from an ABA-approved law school; M.L.I.S. or equivalent from an ALA-accredited library program
Knowledge of legal bibliogaphy
Expert knowledge of Westlaw, Lexis, Bloomberg Law, and HeinOnline
Facility with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and other social media platforms

Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to create document and designs with professional graphics and desktop publishing programs
Ability to hard code HTML, PHP, CSS, and JavaScript
Familiarity with integrated library systems and proxy servers
Knowledge of legal databases, such as CEB OnLAW, RIA Checkpoint, BNA Information Center, Wolters Kluwer Cheetah, LLMC Digital, HeinOnline, Making of Modern Law
Classroom and online teaching experience
Legal reference experience

Location: Ontario CA, College of Law
