Coordinator - Academic Tutoring

Position Category: Staff - Full-Time

Assists Academic Tutoring Director with the management, delivery, and assessment of academic support programs and initiatives. Oversees program certification and College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA) tutor training curriculum. Coordinates event planning, marketing initiatives, and creates and maintains relationships with other departments.

Required Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree in a directly related field of study or a combination of education and experience totaling four years.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of and experience in training best practices.
  • Skills in use of computers and computer applications.
  • Skills in tracking and managing statistics and information needed for decision-making and program improvement.
  • Skills and ability to foster professional and working relationships with students, faculty, staff and administration.
  • Ability to identify program needs and to utilize available resources.
  • Ability to be self-directed and complete tasks without supervision.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Ability to develop and implement a variety of support systems, programs, and initiatives related to student success.
  • Must possess a high degree of professionalism, initiative, creativity, tact, and confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in learning theory or higher education. Experience with learning center best practices, adult learning theory, and CRLA certification preferred.

Physical Requirements:
Must be able to use computer/technology. Must be able to occasionally lift light objects (20 lbs or less)

Pay Range: $34,656 - $46,207
