Duties: The Admissions Manager identifies and admits academically qualified students to meet LPS strategic enrollment targets for all LPS programs. The Manager ensures that students complete the application process and supervises application processing and admissions operations. S/he upholds LPS admissions standards and ensures qualified students ability to attend LPS by serving on High School, Undergraduate, Graduate and Post Baccalaureate Admissions Committees as well as participating in scholarship award decisions. With recruitment and program staff, the Application and Admissions Manager maintains ongoing, positive communication with prospective students throughout the application and admissions process. The Manager counsels prospective students and conducts pre-admissions credentials evaluation for selected programs. S/he analyzes admissions data; creates weekly admissions reports for all LPS programs, assesses effectiveness of admissions operations. S/he ensures LPS admissions practices are in compliance with federal regulations and University policy. The Manager ensures application and admissions collateral (web, print, e-mail communications) accurately and effectively inform prospective students about LPS admissions eligibility and applications procedures. This position works closely with the Manager of Enrollment Systems to ensure that new program applications are developed in accordance with admissions policies and protocols. The Admissions Manager reports to the Director of Enrollment Management and supervises at least two admissions specialist staff members.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and 3 to 5 years experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, is required. 3 to 5 years of progressively responsible experience in college admissions, recruitment, career or student services is strongly preferred. Experience with evaluation for non-traditional students (adult learners) and international students preferred. Experience utilizing databases or admissions systems software for data analysis and reporting required; knowledge of Excel and Access a plus. Excellent organizational, planning, communication, public relations and strong analytical skills required. High energy level and someone who enjoys managing a wide range of programs with varied requirements. Detail oriented and able to manage complex programs. Experience working with diverse student populations. Supervisory experience required. Must be able to work some evenings.
