Under general supervision, the incumbent will provide administrative program support to the faculty and staff within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. This position will be assigned to work within one division, but may also provide support for other divisional needs within the Department. The medical program assistant will provide support for teaching, research, service, outreach and other activities, as well as providing the support necessary for the coordination of outpatient and inpatient provider services.
The Medical Program Assistant provides support to the Department Administrator, the Associate Department Administrator and other administrative functions of the department as necessary.
The incumbent is expected to communicate effectively and confidentially with all faculty and staff across the organization, patients, residents, fellows, and program leaders. This position requires a person who can function independently with general supervision as well as with a team to ensure maximum effectiveness and efficiency of the program.
The candidate must have excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills, ability to coordinate and prioritize tasks, knowledge of the organization and of complex procedures and regulations regarding patient confidentiality, University policy and procedures as well as the ability to exercise good judgment.
The position functions under limited supervision and reports to the Program Assistant Supervisor.
M-F; 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
