Under general supervision, this position will provide complex administrative support to the work of Dr. Michael Fiore. Dr. Fiore is the Director of the UW Center for Tobacco Research and Intervention (CTRI), and he has an extensive speaking and travel schedule as well as an active role in implementation of CTRI research studies. Due to a leave of absence among the current staff, we are seeking to hire a temporary administrative support position to assist Dr. Fiore in the performance of his responsibilities. Anticipated duration of this position is 3-6 months.
This position requires a person with excellent administrative, organizational, and interpersonal skills who can assist with implementation of the research and assist Dr. Fiore with his extensive publishing, grant reporting, scheduling, speaking and travel needs. Excellent computer skills are essential in this position, including strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. A high level of professionalism is also required, which includes demonstrating altruism, accountability and fairness, and treating everyone with kindness, respect and dignity.

Anticipate approximately 20-30 hours per week. Primary office hours are M-F 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., flexible to meet the needs of the center. Evening and weekend hours may occasionally be required.
