Required Qualifications: (As Evidenced by an Attached Resume)
PhD in Physics, Engineering, or related applied science field.

Preferred Qualifications:
Background in Image Reconstruction, Image Segmentation, Image Graphics in Computed Tomography, emission CT (SPECT and PET) and/or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). C/C++ programming for imaging processing.

Brief Description of Duties:
A Postdoctoral Associate position in Medical Imaging is available in the department of Radiology, Stony Brook University (SBU).

  • Successful incumbent will have excellent communication skills.
  • Conduct research and ensure that all experiments are appropriately conducted following the policies and procedures of Stony Brook University.
  • Feasibility studies of medical image modalities (CT/MR/SPECT/PET) for early cancer detection, diagnosis, treatment planning and follow-up evaluation.
  • Research on Virtual Endoscopy and quantitative low-dose CT.
  • Training and supervising graduate and undergraduate students.
