Advertised Job Summary
The Coordinator for Operations is responsible for working with the Senior Assistant Director for Operations to provide program support in the Operations division of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. The Coordinator will have a full range of admissions responsibilities, including processing applications; coordinating workflow for Operations staff members; limited recruitment travel; representing the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at on- and off-campus recruitment programs; and developing relationships and collaborating with relevant campus offices.
The Coordinator will represent the University to prospective students when they visit the University, write or call the admissions office, and when they require special programs or individual counseling.
The Coordinator will review and make decisions on applications for admissions to the University. The overall purpose of the Coordinator will be to take a leadership role in proposing new and creative ideas to ensure prospective students have been personally, effectively, and knowledgeably served, while working toward the highest yield of enrolled students from the admitted group.

Masters degree in Student Services or related field, or bachelor's degree and 2 years related experience. Position requires some evening and weekend work and may also require occasional travel.Preferred Qualifications
Experience within an administrative or data processing environment, especially USC Admissions and admissions policies, is highly desirable. Knowledge of and/or experience with Ellucian Banner and Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) systems, as well as MS Word/Excel, is extremely desirable.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Must relate well to people, have an engaging personality and be able to speak with confidence before groups. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to make presentations to large and small groups. Must be knowledgeable of admissions policies and procedures and be familiar with national issues and trends in higher education. Must have the ability to maintain confidential information. Requires proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Must possess and maintain a positive, customer-friendly attitude. Must be able to cultivate and manage key relationships and develop and promote outreach programs and opportunities collaboratively with appropriate university departments. Must be able to inspire students to pursue higher education and promote the University throughout the state.
Must be able to read and evaluate academic credentials. Must be able to operate a personal computer. Must have strong writing skills. Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to operate a motor vehicle.
