Advertised Job Summary
Provide assistance to the family courts and DSS by tracking child protection and TPR cases and expediting the legal processing of these cases. Review and track all filed child abuse and neglect complaints, assessing delays to identify systematic issues that could be enhanced to improve the timeliness and quality of court hearings. Prepare a summary or information sheet prior to hearings.Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)
Master's degree and 3 years related program experience, or bachelor's degree and 5 years related experience.Preferred Qualifications
Strongly prefer experience in the South Carolina family court system. Prefer degree to be in a related field. Prefer experience in quality assurance programs and familiarity with the CFSR process and South Carolina's child welfare program improvement plan.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Working knowledge of state and federal laws relating to child welfare and familiarity with DSS policy and procedures. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to establish effective working relationships with judges, lawyers, and agency staff. Technology skills necessary to enter case history information into a computer program. Must have valid South Carolina driver's license.
