Position Summary:
Community Colleges for International Development, Inc. (CCID) provides a network for colleges to further their internationalization initiatives and to enhance the development of a globally competent workforce for the communities served.  CCID members are assisted in engaging in partnerships with institutions worldwide to open opportunities for exchanges and knowledge sharing among students, faculty, staff, leadership, and trustees.
The President/Executive Director shall provide leadership in serving member colleges: assisting the members with achieving their goals of internationalizing curriculum, classrooms, campuses, districts, and communities; establishing international educational partnerships; developing study abroad programs for students; facilitating faculty and staff exchanges; and providing technical assistance to international entities wishing to establish the community college concept.  The President/Executive Director reports to CCID’s Board of Directors, works in partnership with CCID’s host college, and provides oversight and guidance to CCID staff under his/her direction.  Significant travel may be required in pursuit of accomplishing the essential duties and responsibilities.

Job Functions:
The ideal candidate for the position of President and Executive Director will be able to build strong relationships among a diverse group, have a broad understanding of global educational issues, and is able to develop a clear strategic vision for the organization. The President/Executive Director shall;
Recruit and retain members to CCID and its Board of Directors including expanded membership of international institutions
Collaborate with CCID’s Board of Directors and its host college
Provide strategic and visionary leadership
Advance the mission of CCID
Establish appropriate partnerships with other entities, such as AACC, engaged in international initiatives
Exercise operational guidance and oversight of staff
Ensure the financial health of the organization
Generate partnership opportunities with educational institutions in non-U.S. countries
Develop CCID´s next generation of leadership
Perform other related work duties as assigned

A master’s degree with international experience
