One-Year Visiting Assistant Professor in Sculpture and Drawing
Ursinus College invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor of Sculpture and Drawing beginning Fall 2018. Responsibilities include teaching introductory and advanced courses in sculpture and drawing and contributing to the operations of the studio area and to the Art and Art History Department, including attention to safety issues and OSHA compliance. Demonstrated interest in contributing to a contemporary interdisciplinary setting with an increasingly diverse student body is desirable. Responsibilities include teaching six courses for the year. A working knowledge of the historical and theoretical fine art discourse surrounding both drawing and sculpture as well as an ability to teach introductory courses to all levels of students is expected. MFA or equivalent and a minimum of two years teaching experience at the college level required. Applicants should have a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and to working with students on projects in a liberal arts setting.
