Minot State University’s Department of Biology invites application for an assistant professor of biology. Position starts August 2018. The applicant is expected to teach an introductory-level biology course for non-majors, upper-level courses in the applicant’s area of expertise, and develop a research program involving undergraduates.
The applicant is expected to teach lectures and labs in the department and involve undergraduates in research experiences. The applicant is also expected to advise students, to serve the department, university, or the public, as well as produce scholarly articles or books in his or her field. The department is interested in adding a faculty member who will expand our areas of expertise. Terrestrial or aquatic ecologists who can provide field experiences or animal physiologists who can teach Human Anatomy & Physiology with a cadaver lab are particularly encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate must have earned a Ph.D. in biology.
Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience and an established record of research.
