Early Childhood Education Adjunct Instructor, Subject Matter Expert (SME) and/or Field Coach/Mentor

We are looking for driven, experienced professionals to join our team to serve in a variety of roles including adjunct professor, subject matter expert for course development and field coach/mentor to provide students with face to face and/or virtual coaching/mentoring in our innovative practice based approach to teacher preparation. We are looking for individuals with experience and knowledge in one or more of the following areas:

•Child development
•Early literacy
•Infant/toddler development & programming
•Pre-K and early primary lesson planning
•Assessment and curriculum development
•Positive guidance techniques, working with families
•Ethics and professionalism
•Child care administration
•Family child care
•ECE advocacy
•ECE special education
•ECE ESL/Bilingual instruction

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Collaborate to develop an effective student experience for students.
•Facilitate courses assigned by delivering instruction in an online and/or blended environment.
•Maintain current and active knowledge in the expertise area that is reflected in instruction.
•Communicate professionally, relate well, and share a passion for postsecondary success for diverse learners.
•Participate in meetings with coaches and assessors to report student progress and obstacles (SSC).
•Empower students to develop competency by sharing a passion for the subject and the skills.
•Promote student success by showing flexibility in delivery and work schedule to provide student support, as well as, exhibit a passion for teaching and engaging students in the learning process.
•Utilize technology-based teaching platforms, including an adaptive engine to aid students in the development of competencies.

REQUIRED SKILLS

EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION
•Minimally, a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education (or closely related field), Doctoral degree preferred.
•Preferably five years of experience working in the education field in either K-2nd grade, pre-k, infant/toddler and/or child care administration (a combination of experiences is preferred). Knowledge of family child care is a plus.
•Knowledge of statewide child care systems and funding streams
•Knowledge of the statewide licensure system.
•Having current or previously held license, endorsement, approval and/or credentials that impact the field of early care and education, preferred.
•Experience with digital tools for teaching, teaching in either online or blended/hybrid formats.
•Teaching to students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
