Job Summary

•Processes incoming applications from students applying to the School of Business baccalaureate programs and recommends admissions eligibility
•Enters student academic plans and program changes in MDConnect
•Assists students through the application process; provides information regarding admission requirements and eligibility
•Creates and maintains BAS student admissions database and reporting databases for state program reports and audits
•Communicates regularly with students and College personnel regarding BAS applications and admissions
•Collaborates with Department Chairpersons across MDC campuses regarding BAS applications and admissions
•Provides general information and answers student queries regarding BAS program admissions
•Reviews transfer student transcripts from other institutions
•Performs other duties as assigned

Duties & Responsibilities

•Bachelor's degree in related field and three (3) years of related experience
•All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
•Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, policies and procedures and programs
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related computer applications
•Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgement when completing daily tasks
•Possess excellent organizational and decision making skills
•Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with academic departments, faculty, staff, students, and local community
•Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)
•Ability to establish and maintain effective public relations
•Ability to work a flexible schedule to include evening and weekend assignments
•Ability to work effectively in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty, other departments, and staff
