General Summary: University of North Georgia Recreational Sports is seeking knowledgeable, energetic students interested in promoting fitness on campus for the position of Personal Trainer. Rec Sports offers a healthy, friendly work environment and is able to accommodate student schedules.

Job Duties & Responsibilities: The Personal Trainer will:

  • Provide personalized workouts to participants varying in age range and ability.
  • Encourage and motivate clients before, during, and after workouts.
  • Expected to ensure safety of participants by providing appropriate modifications and progressions for exercises.
  • Work in accordance with Recreational Sports Emergency Action Plan.
  • Expected to work one on one with clients to develop an appropriate schedule for workouts.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Certifications/Licenses & Minimum Requirements:
  • Required to hold a nationally accredited certification for Personal Training
  • Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics needed.
  • Required to obtain CPR/First Aid/AED Training through American Red Cross withing one month of employment.
