Job description

Duties: In conjunction with the faculty leadership, the Associate Director for Outreach will research, identify, and pursue possible prospects among new and broad categories of corporate entities, with the goal of engaging new partner companies and expanding the Mack Institute for Innovation Management's sphere of influence as a leading business research institute inside the School/University and within the broader innovation and strategy community. He/she will also maintain relationships with Wharton/Penn alumni in the interest of building a pipeline of future prospects. The Associate Director serves as a critical research resource for helping department stakeholders and staff/faculty understand current issues of concern to corporate leaders in order to inform the direction of Institute programming, including authoring original white papers and case studies to be used for stakeholder and public education around current innovation management topics. Some travel required.

Qualifications: The right candidate must be able to work in a collegial fashion as part of a highly self-motivated and talented team. Strategic future-oriented thinking and networking/people skills are a must. Demonstrates strong leadership skills and motivation to influence and collaborate with groups of varying interests to ultimately achieve strategic results.

Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience and a bachelor's degree required; or equivalent combination of education and experience; advanced degree is preferred.
