Duties: The Associate Director supports multiple functions of the Office of Government and Community Affairs and fosters depth across the discrete programs being led by the Federal, Commonwealth, City, and Community Relations professional staff. Assists in the development of materials and implementation of activities related to advocacy plans, issue briefs, appropriations, statutory reporting requirements, relationship management, and special events. The position provides daily direct support to the Vice President and Executive Director of OGCA, frequent support to Federal Affairs, Commonwealth Relations and City Relations, and general support to Community Relations as needed.
Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree is required. Master's preferred. Two to 3 years of experience in government relations or higher education administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Demonstrated ability to conduct accurate reviews and research and to synthesize information and to draft high-quality summaries of officials, issues and policies is sought.
Excellent quantitative and qualitative policy research and analytical skills are required. Thorough knowledge of legislative and election processes is required.
Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment, coordinate multiple assignments simultaneously, and deliver a high volume of top-quality work on a sustainable basis.
Must recognize deadlines and prioritize work accordingly, and work cooperatively in a team-based environment.
Extensive experience with O365, database tools and strong web skills.
