PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build and maintain a comprehensive and continuously up-to-date inventory of all supported applications, servers, interfaces and IT services being used to support UHealth operations- Understand how each application and its related servers support UHealth business operationsInsure that each system has a documented and tested Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plan- Create and maintain documented internal policies and procedures on the management of infrastructure security- Ensure that inter-process communication channels are documented and secureInsure that identity management processes for each system and application are documented and followed. Including application users and privileged users like system/application administrators and vendor support personnel- Be an active participant in any security incident response team providing information and assistance where appropriate- Ensure that system vulnerabilities are identified and remediated or mitigated- Participate in initial and subsequent vendor security assessments conducted by UMIT- Help application owners and business owners create and maintain security related policies and procedures- Actively monitor and research cyber threats with a direct or indirect impact UHealth business operations, or technology infrastructure
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience. 5+ years in systems administration/management. 2+ years in a Healthcare delivery organization. Knowledge of tools and techniques used by hackers to gain unauthorized access. Skilled in mixed/hybrid operating system environments. Knowledge of virtual server environments and best practices in virtual server management. Familiar with DICOM/PACS Archives and typical architecture. Knowledge of networking concepts and common practices. Ability to build new server environments to meet specific needs such as database servers, web servers, application servers, etc. Knowledge of privileged user access management tools and vendors. System Administrator certification for LINUX and/or Windows preferred. (ISC)2 certification of some type preferred. In depth understanding of how servers are administrated and tools used in administration. Knowledge of security principles and best practices.
