Michigan State University College of Nursing invites applications for the position of Instructor. The College of Nursing promotes the health of individuals and communities through excellent educational programs to prepare nurse leaders for practice, research, and education.
The position’s primary responsibility is teaching in classroom, clinical and/or distance education. Teaching assignments may include undergraduate and/or graduate nursing programs, depending on individual qualifications.
Classes and clinical assignments are in East Lansing and a variety of mid- and south Michigan locations. Distance education strategies are also employed. This is an academic year, fixed term faculty position.
Individuals in all clinical specialties are encouraged to apply. Collaboration with College of Nursing faculty, administrators, agency staff and students is expected.Required Degree
Masters -NursingMinimum Requirements
- Master’s degree in Nursing is required
- Unrestricted RN license without probationary status (or eligible)
- Knowledge of current clinical standards of patient care in practice specialty which support patient quality outcomes
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience in specialty area
- Minimum of three (3) years clinical experience
DNP or Ph.D in nursing or related field is desired
Baccalaureate and higher education teaching experience is desiredRequired Application Materials
