General Summary
The Department of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures at Illinois State University invites applications for one (1) part-time faculty member in French, at the rank of lecturer or instructional assistant professor (depending on qualifications). The successful candidate will teach elementary and/or intermediate French courses. This position may be renewable.

This position is represented by the non-tenure track faculty association and may have associated dues or fees.

Required Qualifications
1. Master's degree in French or closely related field by start date of appointment.
2. Prior teaching experience at the high school or collegiate level.
3. State law mandates demonstrable oral proficiency in the English language as a requirement for this position.
4. If this position is Security Sensitive or if you are subject to a criminal background investigation based on University policy, employment is contingent upon you passing a satisfactory criminal background investigation. You may not begin work until the criminal background investigation results have been received and cleared by Human Resources.

Desired Qualifications
Candidates able to teach an upper-level course specializing in the Francophone world outside of metropolitan France are particularly encouraged to apply.
