Assistant Football Coach Wide Receivers

Founded in 1899, Mount Ida College is a small, private college in Newton, Massachusetts, just minutes from Boston which provides career focused programs built upon a strong foundation in the social sciences, humanities and the arts, all developed and implemented to prepare our approximately 1,400 students for success in their chosen fields of endeavor.Essential Function:* Assist the head coach with practice preparation, plans and team supervision.* Responsible for the development and coaching of wide receivers.* Pan and conduct practice sessions during the preseason, regular season, and non-traditional segment.* Exemplify excellent leadership and proper code of conduct.* Work toward the ultimate welfare and safety of the athlete and his/her educational work.* Demonstrate an explicit understanding of all NCAA and conference rules and regulations.* Abide by all policies, practices, and philosophies of the Intercollegiate Athletic Program and Mount Ida College.* Attend all practice sessions, team meetings, and home and away contests. * Cover all varsity coaching responsibilities when the Head Coach is absent from such duties.Required Education/Experience:* Bachelor's degree required.* Collegiate playing experience (preferred).* Two years previous college coaching experience (preferred).Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:* Knowledge of the sport and game both offensively and defensively.* Valid driver's license.* Willingness to travel.* Excellent organizational and communications skills.* Certification in CPR, AED, and first aid.
