Posting Summary:
The Managerial Reporting team at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia, is currently seeking an ETL Developer (Extract/Transform/Load) to perform a variety of analysis, programming, and technical assignments. The ETL developer will work on an Agile Scrum team, which will coordinate with the entire Managerial Reporting team on process improvements and the reporting transition to a new BI toolset. Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering or related disciplines and 5 years of experience in a related field. Alternatively, Employer will accept a Masters with 2 years of experience in a related field. Experience must include: at least 2 years hands on experience in the following: use of Informatica Power Center in a complex business environment; working in a large scale enterprise application set; performing ETL work with at least one of the following types of enterprise systems: Financial, Human Resources, or Student Information; and experience extracting data from large scale enterprise application sets (i.e. Finance, Human Resources or Student Information systems). Also requires knowledge of and ability to apply established data processing procedures; the ability to understanding business requirements, strong analytic skills; the ability to create and modify Informatica Power Center ETL workflows, validate completeness and accuracy of data, testing and documenting modifications; and the ability to write operational and technical specifications.
