As a member of the Residential Life Leadership Team, provide information technology management for the department, with an emphasis on integrating department and enterprise systems to support Learning Communities. Responsible for managing technical work within the department related to hardware/software infrastructure and technical vendor relationships. Work as an integral member of the Administrative Services Team and report to the Associate Director of Administrative Services.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Technology or related field and five years related or specialized experience required. Web application development experience (designing relational database systems) utilizing a variety of technologies and languages such as PHP, Javascript, CSS, SQL (MySQL), and modern LAMP-based web frameworks. Web content management skills, including experience with HTML5, Photoshop/GIMP (for preparing images for the web). Experience configuring and working on Linux-based environments. Exposure to both graphical and command line interfaces. Working knowledge of personal computer hardware and operating system software,including modern mobile platforms and other specialized hardware. Working knowledge of current Windows Operating System, Microsoft Office application suite, and Internet tools. Effective customer service, troubleshooting, and written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated commitment to diversity, social justice, and fostering a collaborative multicultural environment.
Desirable Qualifications
Some knowledge of SSH, CRON, and Bash scripting is desirable. Knowledge of University policies and procedures desirable.
Background in Student Affairs desirable.
