Relationship Management

Work closely with faculty, health system leadership, and staff to capture customer insights and generate ideas for new and enhanced offerings with a strong adherence to the strategic plans of the organization.

Initiate, establish, and maintain business relationships with all key stakeholders of the project whether internal (Faculty and Staff) or external to the organization (collaborators, sponsors, and business partners).

Generate new industry relationships for DIHI that will be used to help prototype innovations.

Convene Duke subject matter experts, industry, and local entrepreneurs to brainstorm solutions, build a prototype, and test within a health system.

When appropriate, form relationships with outside health systems that will leverage DIHI innovations.

Generate new ideas, review ideas using available customer insights, strategize, build internal consensus and put it into action - be responsible for end-to-end innovation process and maintain an innovation pipeline Work with University Counsel to address key legal, structural, and business issues.

Act as a liaison between all parties involved, managing activities and communications in order to keep the consideration and initiation of opportunities progressing.

Ensure required project information is regularly communicated to leadership and the appropriate outside parties. Project planning and execution.

Provide project management and leadership for interdisciplinary teams in the development of specific health innovations and technology projects.

Define project goals, create project plans and manage projects to completion.

Help develop and establish quantitative performance targets and metrics for these initiatives and measure performance of initiatives based on targets and metrics.

Perform financial (ROI, margin thresholds, and profitability) and technology analysis to project future results of potential health innovations to determine highest impact initiatives.

Participate and assist in creating business plans and setting timelines and deliverables of health innovations and technologies initiatives.

Research and analyze competitive position and possible competitive reactions of potential health innovations and technologies.

Participate in writing, manuscript preparation, business analysis, and other dissemination and thought leadership-related activities.

Develop, maintain and enhance knowledge through orientations, self- evaluation and professional development. Assist with Duke Institute for Health Innovation website management and communications as needed. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Prepare communication documents for analyses including complex Excel spreadsheets, Word documents, mapping software, and reports and PowerPoint presentations.

Continuous Quality Improvement Identify opportunities for improved performance.

Analyze data to identify adverse trends and/or undesirable performance.

Utilize performance improvement techniques and methodologies to streamline idea to product development process.

Design and implements strategies for enhancing performance in discovering and developing health innovations and technologies across Duke University and Duke University Health System.

Evaluate effectiveness of improvement strategy through sustained monitoring of performance.

Support organization's efforts to maintain compliance with regulations and accreditation standards.

Advise and monitor compliance of innovations through formal and informal processes.

Design and implement strategies for enhancing compliance, including standardizing guidance, processes Translate concepts and ideas into development prototypes or determine feasibility.

Work with vendors and internal functional groups to design, develop, and test new pilot projects.

Education

Work requires a Bachelor's degree in a business related field.

Experience
