DIRECTOR OF THE MOELIS ADVANCE ACCESS PROGRAM

Job description

Duties: The Moelis Advance Access Program is a deferred admission program that gives Penn undergraduates a guaranteed pathway to the Wharton MBA while they pursue work experience.

The Director of the Moelis Advance Access Program reports to the Director of Admissions and manages the strategic development and implementation of the Moelis Advance Access Program.

An active, contributing member of the Admissions Committee, the Director of the Moelis Advance Access Program is responsible for delivering an extremely high caliber and diverse class of undergraduate applicants each year. This individual will lead recruitment and marketing activities for the Moelis Program and represent the School to an audience comprised primarily of undergraduate students here at Penn and around the world. The role will evaluate applicants for admission and play an active role in the yield process. Additionally, the role will develop and implement a robust schedule of programming in the time during the deferral period. This role will actively promote the collection and analysis of data to chart the growth of the Moelis Advance Access Program and the success of its candidates.

The Director of the Moelis Advance Access Program sits in a unique position, working primarily within the construct of the Admissions Committee as well as with constituents across the program and School. The ability to move between groups and advocate for the needs of stakeholders is critical.

Qualifications: BS/BA required. Masters preferred. Minimum 5-7 years admissions, marketing, communications, or related education/experience with strong interpersonal, project and people management, and presentation skills required. The ideal candidate will have experience developing and sustaining programmatic initiatives at a top tier University and will exhibit exemplary written and oral communication skills, reading/evaluation ability, a strong detail orientation, and the ability to work as a high level contributor, collaborator, and self-starter. Prior experience in recruiting, marketing, and talent assessment is strongly preferred. Willingness to travel (both domestic and international), keep non-traditional hours, and work in teams in the context of an innovative and entrepreneurial environment are critical to success in this position.
