Job Description
The Chemistry Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire an Office Support Associate to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

* Prepare payroll for departmental part-time employees (ex. Teaching Assistants, Research Assistants, and hourly Student Assistants).
* Update & maintain Bi-weekly hourly reports on excel spreadsheet.
* Present new graduate student information during orientation week each long semester.
* Submitting student job postings.
* Process H1 and J1 visa paperwork.
* Process student employment waivers.
* Departmental and grant funded scholarships each semester.
* Obtain available grant balances for the faculty and collaborate with COS Research officer.

Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a High school diploma and three years of moderately responsible and varied office administration or business management experience; or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and training. The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required:

* Advanced customer service skills.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
* Knowledge of accounting/budgeting procedures.
* Ability to work under pressure, to adjust to constant changes, to handle multiple tasks, and to coordinate the work of others.
* Ability to keep complex records, to assemble and organize data of complex nature, and to prepare and submit reports in acceptable formats.
* Ability to conceptualize, plan and organize multiple programs and assignments effectively.
* Ability to work on complex and confidential tasks utilizing judgment, tact, and resourcefulness.
* Skill in developing and maintaining good working relationships.
* Knowledge of policies, practices, procedures and terminology of assigned function.

Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:

* Be able to work with minimal daily supervision.
* Possess strong computer skills; specifically with Microsoft Office Suite.
* Experience with UNT EIS and COGNOS systems is preferred.
