ASSISTANT TEACHING PROFESSOR

The Department of Management in the Trulaske College of Business at University of Missouri (MU) invites applicants with excellent teaching credentials in Information Systems or Supply Chain Management for a non-tenure track, full-time teaching position. Candidates should have completed a masters degree in IS, Analytics, operations, supply chain management, or related discipline by start date and completed Ph.D. is preferred. The candidate hired will be expected to teach undergraduate and masters level classes in one or more of these areas: Business Information Systems or Supply Chain Management. Ability to also teach Analytics or Operations Management is desirable.
Candidates must have already completed a Ph.D. degree in a related area (preferred) or a masters degree in a related area with extensive work experience in related areas. Applicant must be available to start teaching on campus by August 21, 2018. Overall teaching load will be equivalent to twelve credit hours per semester. Candidate should be enthusiastic about working effectively with industry partners to enhance quality of student learning experiences.
The person in this position is expected to assume active service roles related to undergraduate and/or masters curriculum development and quality assurance at department and college levels. Availability to teach an 11-week online summer class for extra income is desired.
Key skills sought include: ability to engage students in both face-to-face, hybrid, and completely online formats; effective use of a variety of assessment methods; currency in information systems, analytics, operations management and/or supply chain management domains; familiarity with learning management systems for grade management and reporting; and collegiality in service roles involving curriculum design, integration, and evaluation.
