Cardiovascular Division - Academic Clinician
The Philadelphia VA Medical Center (PVAMC) and the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic-clinician track. Applicants must have an M.D. degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in clinical care and education. Applicants must be board certified in Internal Medicine and board eligible in Cardiovascular Diseases, and eligible/certified in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplantation is required.
The successful candidate will play an active role as a heart failure specialist and non-invasive cardiologist centered primarily at the Corporal Michael J. Crescenz VA Medical Center and secondarily at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He or she will provide clinical sessions in heart failure and non-invasive cardiology while attending on the inpatient combined CCU/Consult rotation. The selected candidate will also be expected to play an active role in the training of medical students and residents.
